Michael Jackson was and is still recognized as the King of Pop both during his lifetime and after his death.

But, according to Rolling Stone, Harry Styles is the new King of Pop.

Fans have been divided in response to the revelation, but one MJ family member has expressed his displeasure because he simply cannot accept it.

According to Pop Crave, after the newspaper tweeted the cover of their October/November edition featuring the former One Direction member on Monday, the "Thriller" hitmaker's nephew Taj Jackson came to the comments section to roast them and even requested they give Harry a more original moniker.

Harry wore a white fur stole with pink sequin shorts on the cover of Rolling Stone while holding a birthday cake with lighted candles.

Taj, on the other hand, was not pleased and responded in the comments area, saying, "There is no new King of Pop."

"You didn't own or earn the title, @RollingStone; my uncle did-decades of work and sacrifice," the 49-year-old said.

"The title is no longer in use. No offense to @Harry Styles; he's a huge talent. Give him his own title."

Taj is the eldest child of Tito Jackson, Michael's infamous older sibling. Dee Dee Martes, Taj's mother, died in a drowning accident in 1994.

Many of Taj's fans appeared to agree with him since they feel Harry Styles is not meant to be in the same league or world as the "Billie Jean" singer.

However, they claim there is no harm intended for the "Watermelon Sugar" award-winning vocalist.

Some went on to criticize Harry for being a "wannabe" who will never be as good or skilled as the "REAL" King of Pop.

Meanwhile, people are talking about more than just Harry Styles' new musical title.

The ex-boyband addressed allegations of queerbaiting, where many feel he profits from portraying as queer but not officially identifying as LGBT.

According to Harry, the assertions that he generates a lot of money by adopting queer aesthetics should not have to suggest anything.

He also stated that he is not the only one who is attempting to understand and accept his sexuality.

"It's not like, 'this is a gay story about these guys being gay,'" the "Music For a Sushi Restaurant" singer says of his upcoming film "My Policeman," in which he portrays a closeted gay police officer in the 1950s. "To me, it's about love and about wasted time to me."
