On Saturday night in Midtown, Paula Abdul was spotted running barefoot. Only a few people will dare do that in the dirty streets of New York, given how risky that is to one's health (and sanity), but the star dared - for the sake of catching "MJ: The Musical" on time.
According to reports, the former "American Idol" judge was running behind schedule for "MJ: The Musical," so she whipped off her heels and made the inspiring but unsanitary effort to make it in time for the curtain to raise at the Neil Simon Theatre.
Page Six jests that in the coming weeks, fans will be awaiting news on whether Abdul contracted some disease given the different virus and bacteria on the floor she ran barefoot on.
Polio for instance.
Abdul "made it into her seat seconds before the curtain went up," according to the insider, which made her sprint a little bit worth it.
The singer of "Ain't Never Gonna Give You Up," has a long relationship with With the King of Pop and his family.
Her devotion to the late artist and his loved ones, is thus understandable.

She was employed by the Jacksons to plan the motions for Janet Jackson films after they came across her while she was the chief choreographer for the "Laker Girls."
Meanwhile, Jay-Z and Beyoncé brought their children to the same performance and that they all wore shoes. The unflappable couple had purposely arrived late so that they could be ushered into the theater in the dark without making a scene, which is really considerate.
Beyonce also has a strong lik to MJ, the latter serving as her biggest inspiration.
The late star and performer, is regarded as Beyoncé's greatest inspiration. When she was five years old, she attended her first concert and decided she wanted to be a performer. At the World Music Awards in 2006, she gave him a homage award and told the audience,
"If it wasn't for Michael Jackson, I would never ever have performed," she said.
According to her, Michael Jackson changed her and enabled her to become the artist she was. She wrote this emotional tribute on the 5th Anniversary of his death in 2014.
