Snoop Dogg has been up to some business ventures as of late. Earlier this month, he launched his new breakfast cereal Snoop Loopz, and now he's launching "Doggyland," an animated children's show on YouTube and YouTube Kids.
The 50-year-old rapper welcomes children to the first four episodes of "Doggyland - Kids Songs & Nursery Rhymes," an animated program for children to learn and grow emotional and social skills.
It follows a cast of five dogs, and according to the rapper, the characters promote diversity and inclusion, "kids can learn to love each other from the beginning, because hate is what's taught. Love is what's in their heart."
Welcome to "Doggyland"
Snoop Dogg co-created the hip-hop-inspired takes on kids' songs and nursery rhymes. He is joined by R&B artist October London and Hip Hop Harry creator Claude Brooks.
"As a father, grandfather, and longtime youth football coach, it's always been important to me to build positive and educational environments for all children," said Snoop.
He revealed that he has always wanted to do a children's show that "lets kids be kids and is truly representative of the culture with everything from the music to the characters."
The plot revolves around four puppies and their big brother Bow Wizzle, who Snoop voices. He explains that Bow Wizzle is the puppies' mentor, and added that he is a "phenomenal rhymer," noting that children enjoy the rhymes the most.
Other characters in the show include Wags, Chow Wow, Yap Yap, and Barks-A-Locks. They each have their personalities: Wags is supportive, Yap Yap cheery, Chow Wow is emphatic, and Barks-A-Lock is adventurous.

According to the Snoop Loopz website, each cereal purchase would go to charities addressing homelessness, which is the brand's advocacy. "We listen to our families, give them a voice, advocate for them, and empower our families with the tools they need to succeed."
