Many fans have been anticipating Stone Sour's comeback, but it seems like they have to wait longer as frontman Corey Taylor revealed his true feelings for the band, saying that the group has a lot of "drama."

Speaking to Eddie Trunk on SiriusXM Volume's Trunk Nation, the metal vocalist said there's an ongoing drama between band members which caused their "indefinite hiatus" to be extended.

The singer said he's done his part and "done the time doing stuff" in a "band situation."

He also compared Stone Sour and Slipknot's work ethics, saying he preferred the latter band because it's the one that "started everything."

Regarding his first band, which was founded in the 90s, Taylor said there's a lot of drama and issues between its members.

"To me, it's just not something I desire to do. And songs in Stone Sour that I want to play are the ones that I wrote in the first place," he said. (via

The hitmaker said he'd rather go out with a group of men whom he had known forever and have a great time while playing and performing rather than forcing issues on the crowd that doesn't want to be a part of the issue.( (via Banana 101.5)

Corey Taylor's Recent Comments on Stone Sour Far Different From His Sentiments Last Year

In a previous interview, Taylor said he became busy with Slipknot and his solo career which made him put Stone Sour into an indefinite hiatus.

He noted that he was dealing with personal issues due to his previous marriage as well as his depression, and Slipknot helped him with his toxic traits.

The vocalist turned to music and produced 2019's "We Are Not Your Kind."

In addition, he noted that his solo music career was something that he needed to do and he's going to "stay doing solo stuff" in the future.

Despite him focusing on Slipknot and his solo music, he mentioned last year that Stone Sour will always have a special place in his heart as he's been a part of the group since he was 19.

"[Stone Sour] will always be there for me, and hopefully, the other guys in the band feel that way," he said.

The group originated in Iowa in the early 90s and he became a part of the band before being Slipknot's frontman.
