The two great artists are moving on after eight years and not just with words, with actual action too. Dr. Dre and Diddy healed their relationship by having a fun studio session. It appears that the two are out to release some collab songs soon.
In the said photos of this meetup, one can surmise that the two have buried the hatchet from their 2014 dispute. Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, shared a photo on Tuesday, August 30, of them two together all smiles for the camera.
The two prominent hip-hop artists appeared to be in excellent spirits as they entered the studio to collaborate on new songs. Diddy, 52, had nothing but admiration for Dre, 57, as he described the possibility of them collaborating as a career highlight. He said that it was a dream come true, and reminisced the first time he heard something of Dr. Dre's. He said it was clear that he wanted to become someone similar, and to take the same path.
The photographs depicted the two rapper-producers sat behind a mixing board, where they appeared to be having a great time while Dre offered Diddy advice. The "Gotta Move On" rapper referred to Dre as a "genius" and disclosed that The Chronic producer "coached [him] through vocals."
"He reminded me of myself, but with a different style and way more focused. I gotta step my focus up!" he wrote. "But it was a great experience and I thank God for it. I hope one day ya'll get to have the same experience with someone that you always looked up to as a hero."
Hip Hop DX reports that Diddy informed renowned record executive Jimmy Iovine that Dre had leaked news of a $3.2 billion deal for Apple to purchase Beats during a Facebook video posted by singer Tyrese Gibson. Apple apparently decided to cut their offer by $200 million as a result of the disclosure.
The two renowned producers appear to have distanced themselves from one other since then, despite the fact that the two rap icons have not expressed any animosity toward one another. Diddy evidently maintained a high degree of respect for the "The Next Episode" artist despite their physical separation.
Rapper-producers French Montana, Mike WiLL Made-It, and Felix da Housecat, as well as 90s supermodel Naomi Campbell, actor Omar Epps, and Black-ish creator Kenya Barris, reacted enthusiastically to the hip-hop giants' collaboration.
