The Wembley leg of the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert sent fans of the late Foo Fighters drummer into an emotional roller coaster.
While the concert calls for the mourning of the incredible life that was lost, the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert became more of a celebration of the late drummer's legacy and impact on the rock genre.
Taylor Hawkins' son, Shane Hawkins, definitely stole the show, displaying the gift that his father has imparted to him, proving that he could follow his father's steps into music.
Since Taylor Hawkins' death earlier this year, one question has been floating up in the air - Who will replace Taylor Hawkins on Foo Fighters?
Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert Introduces Rufus Tiger Taylor
After Nandi Bushell made her Wembley Stadium debut at the age of 12 years old at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert, the Foo Fighters pulled out a new drummer on the rotating list that night - Rufus "Tiger" Taylor.
Rufus Tiger Taylor is the current drummer of The Darkness, and a touring drummer of "Queen + Adam Lambert." According to Dave Grohl, Taylor was "a real member of the Foo Fighters" as they have known him since he was still little.
The 31-year-old drummer went on and received roaring applause from Wembley Stadium, to join the band in performing their hit songs "These Days" and "Best of You."
Taylor's chemistry and performance with Foo Fighters have surprised fans online, noting that it was a live audition of Taylor to the Foo Fighters to replace the late Taylor Hawkins.
"Rufus Taylor freaked me out as he looks just like Taylor Hawkins from the back. It's like Taylor Hawkins went, "nah, fuck this 'death' shit, I'm coming back to play in this gig". #taylorhawkinstribute #TaylorHawkins," a fan tweeted.
Fans online are raving about the striking resemblance of Rufus Taylor with a young Taylor Hawkins. Some are even saying that he would be a great musician to carry the torch of the iconic drummer.
Who is Rufus Tiger Taylor?
Rufus Tiger Taylor is the son of Queen drummer Roger Taylor.
In 2011, he has toured alongside his father on the "Queen + Adam Lambert" shows, with fans wanting to see his drum battles with his father.
After Emily Dolan Davies' exit from The Darkness, Dan Hawkins confirmed in 2015 that Rufus Tiger Taylor will be replacing her as the band's drummer.
As of this writing, the Foo Fighters has not yet announced who will replace the late drummer Taylor Hawkins on the drums, but with the growing fan sentiment, it could be likely that Rufus Taylor would be an impeccable choice.
