Ari Lennox cannot wait for everyone to hear her newest album, "Age/Sex/Location," which is why she dropped a surprise EP to give fans a little sneak peek into what's in store for her upcoming album.

On Sept. 6, the "Can't U Change" singer hosted "Leak It," a private album listening event held in New York City.

She also just released "Away Message," an EP boasting five songs: "Queen Space," featuring Summer Walker, "Tatted," "Gummy," "No Settling," and "Bitter."

She announced the release on Twitter, as she posted a picture of the EP's cover, captioning it with: "Off the internet until September 9 so here's my away message to you all. New EP to hold you over until the album, love ya."

Fans are going wild at the tracklist of "Away Message." A fan replied: "you finally released 'Bitter' and 'Tatted.' Omg please."

Another replied, "I'm so glad you not letting these songs collect dust. We might need a couple more EPs, sis." "It's been 3 long years since 'Shea Butter Baby' and we're finally being rewarded. Thank you," a user replied.

The EP's cover has a nostalgic yet futuristic feel, as it features a spaceship-like shaped fishbowl and a hand reaching for an old phone inside it.

According to Vibe, "Gummy" is an interpolation of "All Night Long" by the Mary Jane Girls, describing it as "a declarative anthem about not settling."

Coming Very Soon

Lennox's sophomore album "Age/Sex/Location" is coming very soon, Sept. 9 to be precise, and she revealed that it feels like a "transitional space."

The "Hoodie" singer continued that the album not only boasts brand new music, but also a brand new side of her: "I spent so much time seeing the god and good in some abusive people. Neglecting my needs and self-worth,"

"Romanticizing terrible people, ignoring red flags, ignoring my opinions and those knots in my stomach when I'm interacting with people I'm dating."

The gap between her first album "Shea Butter Baby" and "Age/Sex/Location" is palpable to both Lennox and her fans. But Lennox during that time had been going to therapy and working on herself, "doing things I like to do whenever I want."

"This is my 'Eat, Pray, Love' journey, and it's my honest goodbye to searching for love. I got it right here inside of me."

According to Rated R&B, the singer will celebrate the official release of her album on Sept. 9 in D.C. and will return to New York City on Sept. 11 to perform songs from the album live.

Lennox announced the schedule for the release on her Instagram, and fans cannot get enough.

"Ari loves us, DC three days in a row," commented a user.

And others were a little too impatient to know where the secret location will be, "how do we find out the secret location for the NYC event?"

As of this writing, the location for the live performance is yet to be announced. The party is hosted by Amazon R&B Rotation.
