No stage is too small for Lizzo, as she came through the 2022 Emmys last night with a big win for "Lizzo's Watch Out For The Big Grrrls."

Her rousing speech left her full of emotions, marking her first win from the Television Academy - bumping out RuPaul's Drag Race on the streak of five consecutive wins.

With her latest Emmy Win, Lizzo is halfway through achieving EGOT status - a prestigious list that artists have long vied to be in in the entertainment industry.

Lizzo Wins Competition Program Emmy for 'Watch Out For The Big Grrrls'

It's about damn time that "Watch Out For The Big Grrrls" gets recognized for its empowering show for black plus-size dancers.

Despite being a newbie in the Emmys, Lizzo stood out among the rest with the huge red ball gown that did not get in the way of her twerking to it with host Kenan Thompson. (via PEOPLE Magazine)

In a stunning turn of events, Lizzo, through her Amazon Prime show "Watch Out For The Big Grrrls," bagged the Outstanding Competition Program. The show bested five other competition programs - "Nailed It!," "The Amazing Race," "The Voice," "Top Chef," and "RuPaul's Drag Race."

Lizzo ended RuPaul's supposed fifth consecutive year of winning in the category since 2018.

Lizzo's Emmy Acceptance Speech An Ode To Little Self

Right after her show's name was announced, Lizzo was surprised and already taken aback at the moment.

"I'm very emotional and the trophy is nice but my emotion is for these people who are on this stage with me. The stories that they shared they're not that unique they just don't get the platform telling stories. Let's just tell more stories," Lizzo said onstage.

In her emotional and moving speech, Lizzo recalls a point in her life when she wanted to see beautiful black fat ladies on television, "it's gonna have to be you."

The show has also won two Emmys in the Primetime Creative Arts ceremony, Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program, and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program.

Lizzo Halfway To EGOT Status?

With her recent Emmy win, Lizzo is two trophies down for achieving EGOT status.

Since she already has two GRAMMYs on her belt and an Emmy for "Watch Out For The Big Grrrls," she is now short for an Oscar and a Tony.

If Lizzo could star in a film or write an Oscar-winning song, she could score an Oscar, and should she decides to perform or produce a musical, she could land a Tony on her shelf.
