Sam Fender is canceling the remainder of his North American tour along with other headlining acts in various festivals across the country.

Fender said that he has to take a break from touring as the exhaustion is already taking a toll on his physical and mental health.

But despite the surprising pause, the Brit confirmed that some of his shows will still be continuing, with some happening in November.

Sam Fender North American Tour Canceled

In a hefty statement that Sam Fender posted on his Twitter account recently, he has revealed some worrying realizations.

According to the Ivor Novello awardee, he has neglected himself for over a year already and has not dealt with the things that have deeply affected him. With touring taking most of his time, that exhuasted the singer, straining on possible times to deal with his personal problems.

"It's impossible to do this work on myself while on the road,

and it's exhausting feigning happiness and wellness for the sake of business. My friends and colleagues have been worried about me for a while and it's not going to get better unless I take the time to do so," Fender said in a statement.

He has also pointed out that it would be "hypocritical' of him to advocate and discuss mental health in his songs if he himself would not take the time to treat it.

In this case, Sam Fender would be canceling the remaining three shows he had lined up in North America.

Supposedly, he would be performing at the Wonder Ballroom in Portland, Oregon on September 22, The Showbox in Seattle, Washington on September 24, and The Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver, Canada.

Aside from the three shows, he also pulls out on the Florence + The Machine shows and the Life is Beautiful Music Festival.

But despite these consecutive cancellations, Sam Fender promised his fans that a number of shows would still take place this year.

Sam Fender's 2022 Australian Tour would still take place as performances in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane is still a go as planned in November.

"I can't express how grateful we are to have such an awesome fan base. I've met a fair few of you over the years and those encounters have genuinely restored my faith in humanity, you're all sound as f––ck. Me and the boys are burnt out and we need this time. Thank you for always sticking by us," Fender added.
