Britney Spears has been recovering from her conservatorship drama over the past few months as well as problems with her children, but it appears that she's facing a new controversy after being called out on social media for "body shaming" Christina Aguilera.

Early this week, the pop star took to her official Instagram account to share a quote by Rodney Dangerfield, saying the only way to look thin is to "hang out with fat people."

Spears explained in the caption that she wished she could have chosen her staff like nannies for her kids and backup dancers.

She later brought up Aguilera in the conversation, writing, "I mean if I had Christina Aguilera's dancers I would have looked extremely small... I mean why not talk about it ??" (via Billboard)

The "Til The World Ends" hitmaker added that her confidence would have been a little better if she could make decisions for herself like choosing where she lives, who she contacts on her phone and the likes.

Spears was talking about her conservatorship experience wherein her "womanhood was stripped away" and anyone who witnessed her suffering never said anything.

Furthermore, the mom of two explained that she will use the social media platform to express herself and to talk about "things people never talked about."

Britney Spears Called Out by Fans for 'Body Shaming' Christina Aguilera

Despite discussing her trauma to the public, many fans didn't take her recent caption lightly as they claimed she "body shamed" her old pal in the post. They also asked her to take down the post immediately.

The comment section was bombarded immediately with fans educating Spears for her actions as they thought the post was in "bad tase."

"I agree with your caption but sorry Britney, this post itself is very fatphobic. Not cool," one wrote.

Britney Spears Defends Herself From Recent Comments

A day after her first post, Britney Spears shared another caption, saying she was not being critical of Christina Aguilera's "beautiful body."

She later clarified that she once watched the singer's concert and noticed that her dancers look different from the people on her stage.

The "I Wanna Go" songstress then explained that she was inspired by her old pal because she's a "beautiful woman of power" and thanked the singer for inspiring her.
