Just like other celebrities who heard the sudden news of the tragic death of PnB Rock, Nicki Minaj shared her condolences and thoughts on social media.

In a tweet, she wrote, "After Pop Smoke, there's no way we as rappers or our loved ones are still posting locations to our whereabouts."

"To show waffles & some fried chicken????! He was such a pleasure to work with. Condolences to his mom & family. This makes me feel so sick. Jesus. #SIP #PnbRock"

Fans React

Twitter users were quick to call her out for her "thoughtless" comment, with one replying, "So you as a public figure just gone add to the Train of Blame. Like any fan couldn't [have] posted him, not knowing for a fact if the killer ever saw her story. That girl is traumatized and going through enough and people with your energy aren't helping at all."

A Minaj fan, called Barbz, replied as well, "[Not gonna lie], you are making it so hard to defend you, mama. Log off. Please for the barbz' sake."

"[G]irl don't u think she already [feels] guilty? Like dang, blame the n***a who shot him," another replied, referring to the deceased rapper's girlfriend who posted a picture of their meal on Instagram prior to the incident.

The Instagram post has since been taken down, but the controversy regarding the post's role in PnB Rock's death still circulates the Internet.

Minaj's Response

The "Super Freaky Girl" rapper refused to bow, as she defended her comments. Quoting a tweet that shared n unrelated list of rappers getting attacked in or outside of food stores, she wrote: "The ppl around these rappers gain so much. It's time to start really reminding them over & over!"

"At least try to put your foot down if you care! Tell them! You're not loved like you think you are! You're prey!! In a world full of predators! What's not clicking?!"

Fans accused the 40-year-old rapper of victim-blaming, however, Barbz were also quick to defend Minaj saying that the rapper meant no harm, but to educate other artists and warn them.

Twitter Error

And some fans brought up Minaj's husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender, reports say.

"My heart is hurting for the mothers of these kids that tried to make something better of their lives! Lets educate asap! [sic]"

"It's never the wrong time! If it saves one young rapper," she continued. ""[...] I spoke on losing our own [at] the VMAs! Enough is enough! My God. IDGAF about no [f**king] hate tweets! Go f**k y'all dumb [f**king] selves."
