After ending his supposed 10-year deal with Gap, Kanye West received a long list of limitations from the retail giant.

On Sunday, the "Donda" rapper posted the brief letter on his Instagram account. However, the 45-year-old father of four admitted that he has no plans to extend his agreement and cooperation with Adidas.

"Welp, I guess the war's not over," Kanye captioned his post after learning that he was forbidden from using his Yeezy brand or "other identifying attributes" on a number of other items in the letter he got.

Additionally noted in the constraints were the licensing and endorsement agreements with Adidas and the strategic partnership with Gap that govern the independent operations of Kanye's brand.

The summary further explained Kanye West cannot imitate or mimic designs that were utilized for Yeezy by Adidas or Yeezy by Gap items by including a lengthy list of clothing, accessories, and footwear that he is prohibited from incorporating into his Yeezy brand.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Kanye West's Instagram post came after his attorney informed Gap in writing that the clothing retailer was ending its collaboration with the Grammy-winning musician.

Why Did Kanye West End His Gap Partnership?

Kanye West revealed a 10-year relationship with Gap in 2020. But the "All of the Lights" rapper decides to call it quits after two years.

The unexpected firing, according to the letter his attorney submitted to Gap, was brought on by the company's failure to launch any new apparel items and build stores as promised.

Even though the corporation was supposed to create five retail locations by July 2023, a Yeezy Gap store hasn't yet launched.

Additionally, it said that 40% of the Yeezy Gap merchandise have to be sold in-store by the end of 2021.

But just one piece from the collection was ever sold, and that was in the previous year's fall. The jacket wasn't offered in shops; it was only available online.

Kanye West Wants To Work 'Alone'

In an interview with Bloomberg, Kanye West explained his intentions of working on Yeezy alone, saying, "It's fine. I made the companies money. The companies made me money. We created ideas that will change apparel forever."

Social media users poured in to support Kanye West as soon as the news of his breakup with Gap broke.

In the past, Kanye also complained about being left off the Gap retailer's boardand was excluded from meetings and creative processes.

He even threatened to withhold his line if he didn't have a place at the table three months after signing the agreement in 2020.
