Culture Club has proven it's for real with the group's revival efforts by announcing a six date American tour for 2014, after which it will play 11 shows around the UK. Boy George and his band of misfits last played live in 2000.
The announcement comes on the heels' of the band's statement earlier during 2014 that it was working on a new album, its first since Don't Mind If I Do from 1999. George released a solo album, This Is What I Do, last year.
The new tour and album marks the second "comeback" for Culture Club. After a huge wave of success and a rapid release of four albums during the '80s, the band broke up and didn't play together again until 1998, a reunion that lasted until 2000.

As a side note, we don't normally believe in randomly mentioning that a performer is going to appear on a talk show, a method frequently used by music journalists to add length and banality to articles. However both George and Taylor Swift will be appearing on Late Night With Seth Meyers on August 14...we can only dream of a joint performance.
