Harry Styles finished what seemed to be a dramatic and cathartic 15-day residency at the Madison Square Garden last night, achieving the biggest feat that the iconic concert venue can bestow an artist.
Closing his last show on the Madison Square Garden with a bang, the venue has awarded Harry Styles his reward banner, a commemoration of his 15 shows at the venue.
According to Rolling Stone, Styles was the third person who had his banner hung from the ceiling of Madison Square Garden. Billy Joel owns the two because of his 129 shows and the 83-show monthly residency. The "Piano Man" hitmaker also thanked Styles during an August 24 performance, who took a day off from performing, letting him have the entire garden for a night.
Rock band Phish was awarded theirs in 2017 after they amazingly did not repeat any song from their repertoire on their unique 13-day consecutive show at the Madison Square Garden.

Donning a feather boa like the entire Madison Square Garden, broadcast journalist Gayle King was present to award Harry Styles his own banner.
"Harry, we don't want to say goodnight to you," King said, echoing the opening spiel on Harry's hit song "As It Was" as the banner dramatically hangs on The Garden's ceiling.
"Any time that you come to Madison Square Garden and you see that, remember it's because of you. That is ours. I'm gonna come back when everyone is gone, and just sit and look at that for a while," Styles told the roaring crowd with his broken voice, whelmed in tears.
Currently, "As It Was" holds the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, nearly breaching fifteen weeks. It has tied with seven other songs at 14 nonconsecutive weeks atop the charts - six more weeks and he could dethrone Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road's" record with 19 weeks at the chart summit.
Meanwhile, Harry Styles is embroiled in a controversy wherein netizens pointed out that he allegedly spit on fellow actor Chris Pine during the premiere of their film "Don't Worry Darling," at the Venice International Film Festival.
Both camps have denied the issue, reducing the internet drama turned into a national debate, as a mere fabrication. Rumored girlfriend and director Olivia Wilde has also confirmed that Harry Styles did not actually spit on Chris Pine.
