Thanks to the emergence of the internet, many of the well-loved television series that everyone has grown to love have been immortalized by streaming websites, memes, gifs, and other forms of media.

For any Gen-Z and millennial music lover, watching the Fox musical dramedy "Glee" was one of the highlights of the early 2010s, the worldwide phenomenon has produced stars like Lea Michele, Darren Criss, Amber Riley, Harry Shum Jr., and even the late Naya Rivera.

However, because of the issues and the real-life drama that some of the cast members faced after the end of the show in 2016, a reunion of the well-loved cast has been more and more impossible.

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Kevin McHale, who played the wheelchaired Ginuwine-popping character Artie Abrams, on "Glee" has shared a substantial update on a grand cast reunion.

"I don't know if that would ever happen as a TV show or a reboot-type thing. I don't think that would ever happen. Well, you know, until Ryan Murphy says so," McHale told the publication exclusively.

An attempt for a reunion has been in talks years ago already. However, despite Ryan Murphy green lighting a "Glee" revival, the original cast would not be the same due to the issues that surround them.

In 2020, Season 6 cast member Samantha Marie Ware made some pretty huge allegations about lead star Lea Michelle, accusing the latter of racist tendencies and microaggressions on set. Michele has apologized since but Ware has not acknowledged since.

Meanwhile, three of the original cast members - Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, and Naya Rivera, have all passed away, bringing the main cast to an even lower number.

Elsewhere in the same interview with Kevin McHale, he was also asked what he thought about Lea Michele, finally grabbing the role of her dreams as Fanny Brice on the Broadway revival of "Funny Girl."

"I don't have any plans [to see the show]. I haven't talked to her in a while, to be honest. She's obviously extremely, extremely talented. I'm sure she's f--king phenomenal in it. Are you kidding me? She could do the role in her sleep," he confessed.

But despite not having a "Glee" revival in the near future, McHale revealed that he has been in touch with Chris Colfer, who played Kurt Hummel, every couple of weeks.

The closest thing Gleeks could have a reunion of some sort is on the new iHeartradio podcast that Kevin McHale and Jenna Ushkowitz, who played Tina Cohen-Chang, are hosting - "And That's What You Really Missed," a reimagined and rebranded Glee recap the two has been doing on for quite a while independently.
