Coolio's past feud with Weird Al Yankovic resurfaced following his sudden death.

The music industry woke up on Wednesday with devastating news about Coolio's death. His manager, Jarez Posey, confirmed his untimely passing at the age of 59.

Following his death, his hit anthem "Gangsta Paradise" went viral again. At the same time, his past feud with parody artist Weird Al Yankovic also resurfaced.

In 1995, Coolio released the track "Gangsta's Paradise." The hit bop eventually ranked first in over 20 countries and even received triple-platinum certification.

The song became a fan-favorite, leading parody artist Weird Al Yankovic to write and release his own version of it. For his part, he called his parody song "Amish Paradise."

While it proved the success of Coolio's song, the rapper hit the parody artist instead.

A year after the track's release, Coolio started the beef with Weird Al Yankovic, calling him out for not asking permission to make his own version of the track and release it. As noted by Express UK, Weird Al Yankovic's "Amish Paradise" became successful enough to leave the original singer frustrated.

In addition, its music video exactly replicated the original.

But in the early 2000s, Coolio changed his statement and criticized himself for hitting the parody artist.

"I sat down, and I really thought it out. I was like: 'Wait a minute ... Coolio, who the f***k do you think you are?' He did Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson didn't get mad. I was being too magnificent and too terrific about myself and that's not what you want to do," he said.

From there, Coolio and Weird Al Yankovic fixed their relationship after the rapper apologized to him for doing "one of the dumbest things" he reportedly did in his career.

Weird Al Yankovic Paid Tribute to Coolio

Following the announcement about Coolio's death, the 62-year-old became one of the first artists to pay tribute to him.

On his Twitter and Instagram accounts, Weird Al Yankovic shared photos of them embracing each other during an event.

Coolio died on Wednesday in Los Angeles. A news outlet revealed that he went inside the bathroom of a friend's house but did not come out after a long time. The pal tried calling him, but Coolio did not answer back.

It prompted the friend to open the door by force, finding the rapper on the floor. The pal still called for help, but the responders pronounced him dead when they arrived.
