Regina Spektor is taking a break from touring as she postponed the remainder of her 2022 concerts indefinitely.

Currently, the "Samson" hitmaker is down with a bad case of COVID-19 after successfully avoiding it for two and a half years.

To Spektor's regret, a flurry of her concerts this year is largely affected because of the hiatus she will be taking soon. According to a statement she posted on her Instagram page, the singer apologized for the inconvenience that she has brought to her fans. (via Billboard)

"I'm so sorry to everyone who bought tickets and was coming to see me in their town. I have gone from feeling bad, to worse, to terrible. I've lost my voice. I am a bit delirious from fever, so in advance I apologize if this note isn't too coherent. I have had a really hard time lately, and all your love has been helping me so much. I hope mine reaches you as well. For now- I will have to sing to you from past recordings, and we will reschedule the shows for when the theaters are able to have me back," she said in a statement.

Regina Spektor remaining 2022 concerts starts on October 12 in Massey Hall, Toronto; the State Theatre in Ithaca, New York, on October 14; the Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, New Jersey, on October 15; and the Warner Theatre in Washington DC, on October 16.

Included also in the affected shows are his Tabernacle concert in Atlanta, Georgia, on October 18, her Belk Theatre performance in Charlotte, North Carolina, on October 19, and the Ryman Auditorium gig in Nashville, Tennesee, on October 20.

Spektor's closing tour on The Warfield in San Francisco, California, on October 25 and Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, California, on October 27 are also postponed.

As of this writing, the regulations as to how to refund tickets or rescheduled dates are not yet posted.

"I truly can't believe this has happened. I was overjoyed in Chicago to play the first show of the tour- and I'm grateful I got to have at least one night of loving you all from that stage! I felt your love too!" she continued on the post.
