Barbie's Mattel is honoring Tina Turner by releasing a doll following the singer's likeness in celebration of the anniversary of her hit song "What's Love Got To Do With It."

According to reports, the Tina Turner Barbie Doll will retail for $55, and will show the singer in her iconic look from the music video-the denim jacket, sparkly top, black mini skirt, and fishnet stockings, paired off with a pair of black heels.

Of course, it would not be a Tina Turner look in the 80s if the doll did not sport her iconic spiky hair. The little details in her music video look were not missed, as Mattel added the pear earrings and diamond necklace she was seen sporting in the "What's Love Got To Do With It" music video.

Turner showed her gratitude and appreciation for the recognition as she released a statement regarding the announcement of the Tine Turner Barbie Doll.

"I am honored to welcome my Barbie into the group of trailblazing women already represented and introduce more kids to my journey," it read.

The Tina Turner Barbie Doll will be available on Mattel's online store, and retail stores including Amazon, Walmart, and Target, reports say.

Massive Success

"What's Love Got To Do With It" is a single off Turner's fifth studio album, "Private Dancer," released in 1984. It became one of her most successful singles to date.

The song peaked at number one on Billboard's Hot 100 chart and sold over 1.5 million copies worldwide. The song came out when the "Queen of Rock 'n Roll" was in her 40s, making her the oldest solo female artist to top the chart.

In addition to that, Turner also received three Grammy wins for "What's Love Got To Do With It", including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. The fan-favorite song also earned a spot in the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Despite being released 38 years ago, it remains one of Turner's greatest hits and a song fans come back to time and time again.

Tina

Turner is no longer actively making music, however, she just recently released "TINA" in 2021, an HBO documentary about her life.

Turner is no stranger to success and her life turned into a work of art, as a musical about her, "Tina: The Tina Turner Musical," has been in commencement. It has received a Tony Award for best performance by an actress in a leading role in a musical in 2020.

"I don't dwell on recognition," Turner told Essence. "I've always gotten so much love and support from my fans."

"How they feel about my music, if a song touches or inspires them, makes them happy, or just makes them want to sing along and dance, that's what's important to me."
