Gunna is spending another night in jail, it seems because a judge just denied his third attempt at bail. The Atlanta-native rapper has been behind bars since May this year for attempting to violate Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act and other offenses.

It was enacted to prevent traditional organized crime in Georgia and in now includes multiple types of theft, fraud, and computer crimes.

According to reports, Gunna, born Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, was denied bail because there was concern that his release might lead to witness intimidation.

His camp was dismayed by the news and protested against the prosecutor's claims, noting that there was not a "shred of evidence" to keep the rapper behind bars until the trial.

Due to his final attempt at bail getting denied, the 29-year-old rapper will stay in jail until January of the following year for his trial.

'Same Concerns'

According to Variety's report, the judge presiding over the case, Ural Glanville, stated "I still have the same concerns that have not been otherwise alleviated."

This was the same reason that was cited previously in Gunna's first two attempts at getting granted bail.

Reports say that when Glanville denied his bail, his order was met with "vocal outcry," which prompted the judge to threaten to detain them if they did not "settle down."

However, according to reports, the judge and prosecutor's concerns of witness intimidation may not be too far off. Prosecutor Adriene Love claimed that someone had offered to kill someone on the rapper's behalf.

Some state witnesses were too terrified of testifying against Gunna, as they worried about their safety. She noted that several of the witnesses would "break down and cry" at the notion of testifying.

Charged

Along with Gunna, several other people were charged back in May in connection to alleged criminal activities, that includes fellow Atlanta rapper Young Thug.

According to reports, the prosecutors alleged that they had associations with a group called YSL, which they claimed not only worked as a record label that goes by the name "Young Stoner Life," but also as a "violent street gang." They were charged with 56 counts of gang activity and racketeering.

Since his arrest, Gunna has been shown support from both fans and fellow rappers, like Diddy. According to reports, Diddy called Gunna in prison to offer him some support and advice.

Diddy uploaded a recording of their conversation to Instagram. While Diddy offered him prayers, Gunna replied, "Yeah, that's it. They gonna work. I'm doing nothing but preserving myself and keeping my mind together and getting myself right for when I'm back out there."
