Andrea Bocelli is suing an air charter business for giving him "excessive anxiety" on a recent flight.
Last month, the vision-impaired 64-year-old classical music artist filed a complaint against Private Jet Services of Seabrook in federal court in New Hampshire.
He claimed he was provided with an older, noisier aircraft than stipulated in the contract and that the company broke its conditions when a crew member warned that the flight from California to Cleveland would be turbulent.
According to the lawsuit, due to his compromised vision, Bocelli experiences discomfort and worry during flights and requests that the crew refrain from making on-board weather announcements "to prevent inflicting unnecessary concern."
The renowned tenor is requesting three times his original return of $569,800 (£506,000) for 15 flights.
According to reports, the amount covers legal bills, damages, and alternative flying arrangements. Additionally, Bocelli asserted that his representative hired the company to supply flights for his November and December U.S. tour dates last year, but stipulated that the aircraft "should preferably be no more than four years old."

During the flight from California to Cleveland, he claimed he was furnished with a 1996-vintage Falcon 2000. A spokesman for Private Jet Services reportedly expressed regret, but was unable to locate a suitable aircraft for his remaining five tour dates.
He alleged that they cancelled the planes for the performances but did not reimburse him, forcing him to hire a new business at a cost of more than $300,000 (£266,400).
