Marshmello unveiled to fans a collaborative song he and Juice Wrld made before the latter's passing in December 2019.

He and the late rapper were not only collaborators, but they were also good friends. This much was evident by how Juice Wrld featured Marshmello on his album, "Legends Never Die," released in 2020.

Marshmello, born Christopher Comstock, worked on "Come & Go" and "Hate The Other Side" with Juice Wrld, however, according to reports, there might be more than just the three currently released songs the two have worked on.

"Bye Bye" marks the first posthumous release, however, fans can definitely expect more in the future-eight to be precise.

Honor

The 30-year-old producer opened up about "Bye Bye," noting that it was a special song that he wanted to share with fans.

"I made this song the first night that I met Juice. I was already such a big fan of his and being able to work with him and make music with him was an absolute honor," he said.

"With this song, I intended to keep it exactly the way we made it that night. I hope everybody enjoys."

Aside from releasing the song, it also included a music video. As of this writing, it has garnered over 600 thousand views, 82 thousand likes, with five thousand comments.

The trippy music video shows clips of an animated Juice Wrld, singing from inside an arcade machine.

According to reports, the song was first teased back in 2018, however, it had a completely different vibe and tune compared to how it was released today, which was how it was originally intended.

The succeeding releases are most probably going to be kept the same as well, as Marhsmello noted in his interview with Z100 New York.

"My main thing with everything that me & Juice did is I'm keeping it the same way it was when he was alive," he said. "I'm not changing it, I'm not remixing it, or adding stuff, I'm keeping it the same way."

Bye

Juice Wrld, born Jarad Anthony Higgins, passed away at the age of 21 shortly after landing at Midway International Airport in Chicago.

According to reports, his death was ruled as an accident as a result of overdosing on oxycodone and codeine.

Despite his passing, his music went on and became successful. "Fighting Demons," his posthumous album sold over 500 thousand units, making him the first artist to have four albums to sell over 500 thousand units each in 2022, reports say.

Juice Wrld was quoted saying, "The goal in life is not to live forever but to create something that will."
