As if Swifties were not already ecstatic about the upcoming release of "Midnights" on Friday (Oct. 21), the pop diva has now revealed two enticing new insights about what inspired her highly anticipated new album. Both of them are likely to drum up the excitement, and even shock fans.

Apparently, the songs in the album are inspired from a dark place of self-loathing and revenge fantasies, something fans wouldn't expect of Swift.

Swift shared in videos posted on the Spotify pre-save page for "Midnights" that she will divulge five things "that kept me up at night and inspired the Midnights album."

As of Tuesday, October 18th, two of the five have been dropped.

"The first thing that kept me up at night that helped inspired the 'Midnights' album is ...," the singer-songwriter shortly announces in the video, saying, "Self-loathing."

She responds with a little smile and a modest shrug of the shoulders. Swift's new music video seems a little bit sketchy.

"The second thing that kept me up at night: fantasizing about revenge," she shared. She even threw a mischievous side-eye glance to her left, as if to prove a point.

The revealing new films are part of a partnership with Spotify that has also resulted in the appearance of digital billboards in New York City and London that preview snatches of "Midnights" lyrics. On October 17, a massive billboard in Times Square carried the phrase "I should not be left to my own devices," while a billboard in London read, "I polish up real nice."

In the next days, more lyrics will likely be unveiled. The eleven-time Grammy winner's Easter eggs on Spotify follow the announcement that the music video for "Anti-Hero," the third track on Midnights, will be posted at 8 a.m. on Friday, hours after the whole album is released.

Swift's album release week also includes a "special extremely chaotic surprise" on release day, appearances on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" and "The Graham Norton Show", and the premiere of a second unidentified music video on Tuesday, October 25.

The pop queen has confirmed she is reuniting with producer Jack Antonoff and long-rumored collaborator Lana Del Rey. Now, a list of writing credits accessible on iTunes confirms the "Midnights" crew in greater detail. Swift's old friend and former quarantine companion Zo Kravitz is credited on "Lavender Haze," the album's opening track.
