Taylor Swift has always been a musical genius; leaving easter eggs from one song to another and hinting at future songs in the back of lyrical combos of her years-old song have been a thing she has been praised for a lot.

Now on the eve of the pending release of her tenth studio album, "Midnights," Swift had everyone recalling and piecing together the lyrics that were scattered all around the globe of some of the lyrics on her new songs.

According to Billboard, one of the lyrics of her new songs was apparently hinted at earlier this year, at the time when the lyrics of her other songs were famously quoted too.

Earlier this year, Taylor Swift received her honorary doctorate degree from New York University - becoming the commencement speaker for thousands of now alumni of the institution.

Eagle-eyed fans in Mexico City, the spot where a newly erected billboard with her lyrics on, have connected the dots - the lyrics printed on the signage were something familiar.

Turns out, the GRAMMY-winning singer has sneakily mentioned the same lyrics, almost at the same degree, in her commencement speech for NYU.

"I'm a doctor now, so I know how breathing works" -At the time, it must have been a silly, witty joke, but the many Swifties listening didn't know that somewhere along those words were actually a future reference to her upcoming music.

But according to the publication, that wasn't the only thing left she mentioned during the speech that was actually used on the new album.

At the end of her lengthy speech, Swift said something along the lines of "Scary news is, you're on your own now. Cool news is, you're on your own now."

For those who still don't get it - it's a reference to her new song, "You're on Your Own, Kid," also in the "Midnights" album.

Meanwhile, various posters have been mounted on different parts of the globe - as part of the singer's partnership with Spotify. This includes billboards in New York City, Sao Paolo in Brazil, London, and Nashville, where it also revealed lyrics on her upcoming songs.

Taylor Swift's new album, "Midnights," is due to release on October 21, 2022.
