Taylor Swift is undoubtedly one of the biggest artists of this generation as she continues to dominate charts as well as amassing millions of streams from fans. However, her latest album might have caused hype, leading other listeners to experience a technical problem.
According to Fox Business, Spotify experienced a system crash as many fans anticipate "Midnights'" official release on Friday morning, Eastern time.
There were over 8,000 reports of outages from different fans who complained after failing to listen to the record after it dropped.
Online users immediately took to Twitter to express their disappointment over the inconvenience.
"It took me 4 minutes and 5 times closing the app before it would work as we should from this album is not missing at all," one wrote.
"i redeemed my apple music trial bc of it," another one wrote.
As of this writing, the Swedish music streaming platform has already repaired the issue with its app.
Taylor Swift Surprises Fans With 7 NEW Songs Just Hours After 'Midnights' Release
Taylor Swift isn't done hyping fans up with her new album as she released seven additional songs from her latest album just hours after releasing "Midnights."
Titled "Midnights (3am Edition)," the Grammy Award-winning singer took to her social media accounts to announce the news.
She explained that the first release was a complete concept album as all 13 songs from its tracklist form a full picture of the "intensities of that mystifying, mad hour."
But, there were other songs she wrote with her collaborators during their journey to finalize the ones that made it to the initial release.
According to People Magazine, the new songs are: "Dear Reader." "The Great War," "High Infidelity," "Would've, Could've, Should've" "Bigger Than the Whole Sky," "Glitch," and "Paris."
The reason why she released more songs is that she wanted the feeling of giving fans a view of their creative brainstorming, with similarity with "From The Vault" songs included in her previous re-released albums.
"So it's 3am and I'm giving them to you now," she added.
Taylor Swift broke free from her "folklore" and "evermore" sound as "Midnights" could be classified as an indie-pop concept, which was inspired by her thoughts whenever she couldn't sleep at night.
