Liam Gallagher shared his secret on how he became an effective frontman despite having limited capabilities.
Before Gallagher went solo, he first debuted as the lead vocalist of Oasis in 1991. He then left the band in 2009 and fronted Beady Eye for five years. Although he has a fruitful career as a soloist, Gallagher most notably became a legendary frontman of the aforesaid rock bands.
In a recent interview shared by Far Out Magazine, the singer opened up about having limited musical ability. He revealed that, despite that, he became a rock 'n roll singer on his own.
"I class myself as a rock 'n' roll singer who writes the odd tune now and again. And that is it. I'm not going out saying I'm Bob Dylan. Ideally, you want to do it yourself, but I can't write those fucking big songs. I'm limited. My verses are up there, but I just can't do that next bit," he said.
Gallagher works with his brother, Noel, in Oasis. But he suffered criticism as he did not do much in the songwriting process.
It turned out that the band agreed that Noel would provide the songs while the other Gallagher would complete the mix.

Aside from his initial statement, he also told "Absolute Radio" Dave Berry that having passion would lead any aspiring frontman to fame.
He said no one should worry about being in tune or out of tune since punk rock is about "attitude." Instead of whimpering around the microphone, he urged everyone to get involved with it and spit all over it while singing.
Although he found love in rock music, Gallagher also hit a glitch when his brother quit Oasis in 1994 after he bombarded him with insults.

Journalist John Harris interviewed the brothers and converted the conversation onto vinyl and CD one year later. There was also a time when Noel hit Liam's head with a cricket bat due to the disruption he brought. The bat was eventually sold at an auction afterward.
In 1996, Gallagher missed his appearance with Oasis on MTV Unplugged show at the Royal Festival Hall. Still, Noel led them and chose not to miss the opportunity.
Over a decade later, Oasis finally called it quits.
