Cormac Roth, the musician son of Marvel actor Tim Roth, passed away at the age of 25.
According to a family statement published on Monday, the musician was a "wild and electrifying ball of fire" whose spirit was "filled with light and goodness."
It said, "As wild as he was, Cormac was also the embodiment of kindness. A gentle soul who brought so much happiness and hope to those around him."
The Roth family statement also mentioned their grief and how it comes in waves, like tears and laughter.
They added how they're grateful to be able to know him for 25 years and ten months - "An irrepressible and joyful and wild and wonderful child. Only recently, a man. We love him. We will carry him with us wherever we go."
Cormac Roth died after a year-long struggle with a rare malignancy.
The artist, a Bennington College graduate, confirmed his illness last November on Instagram, stating he was diagnosed with Choriocarcinoma, a kind of Stage 3 Germ Cell Cancer.

The artist revealed he had done "chemo, high dose chemo, medication, transplants, transfusions, surgeries, etc."
"It is rare, and it has managed to stay many steps ahead of me no matter what I throw at it. It has taken away half of my hearing, 60pounds of weight, my confidence, and will continue its murderous path until I can manage to stop it somehow, and kill it," Cormac added.
Cormac noted at the time that the illness had not taken away his desire to live or his joy of producing music.
In his final post in August, he reminded his followers that life is brief, and most of the time, individuals do not get to choose their fate and create the future they choose.
Cormac Roth leaves behind his parents, Tim and Nikki Roth, as well as his brother, Hunter.
