The world of hip-hop is devastated after Takeoff was shot dead in the early morning of November 1 in Houston, Texas. Recently a video emerged where he can be seen having an argument with another group; could he be the reason for his passing?
According to TMZ, Quavo was arguing with another group of men outside the bowling alley where the rapper was shot. It didn't take that long from the former's altercation before the shooting began.
The outlet obtained a video where the "Intentions" hitmaker can be seen exchanging words with the other group at around 2:30 a.m. While he was having an argument, Takeoff was behind him, and a few seconds later, gunfire can be heard.
At the time, everyone around the area started panicking and running away to flee the scene. A couple of gunshots, 10 to be precise, were followed and it was aimed at the crowd. The outlet suggested that it came from two different firearms.
As chaos erupted in the scene, Takeoff was, unfortunately, shot near his head. Quavo and a bystander attempted to revive him but they were unsuccessful.
The rapper was pronounced dead on the scene.
Aside from him, Houston Police Department confirmed that there were two other people who got injured, a 23-year-old male and a 24-year-old female. Both victims were taken to the hospital to recover.
Houston Police Department Seeking For Answers
A press conference about the rapper's death was held on Tuesday afternoon by the HPD. Sgt. Michael Arrington first confirmed the exact details of what went down during the gruesome incident.
Authorities reportedly received a call about a shooting incident around 2:34 a.m., it took place at 810 Billiards and Bowling, a hangout spot near downtown Houston.
When the cops arrived, they spoke to people around the area, especially employees, who confirmed that the altercation happened after a private party at the venue.
Arrington said a number of people flocked together at the front door outside the building. Chaos erupted as an argument later ensued, which led to the shooting. The reason why people were arguing was because of a "disagreement." (via Rolling Stone)
Since many witnesses fled the scene by the cops arrived, authorities are asking them to come forward with information for the investigation.
