DaBaby's latest move in an attempt to have a sold-out ticket earned mixed reactions from the public instead.
DaBaby started selling tickets to his show at Iron City in Birmingham on Nov. 15. The venue's website revealed that it could house up to 1,300 standing capacity, but the rapper seemingly has no means to make it a sold-out concert even with a BOGO deal.
Fans can avail of tickets on Eventbrite's website, but the public noticed the scheme DaBaby committed in an attempt to see more concertgoers amid his low-ticket sales.
It turned out that the rapper started offering BOGO General Admission buy-one-take-one tickets for the price of $22 plus a $5.92 fee. It also stated that all tickets are non-refundable.
After seeing it, fans roasted him while making fun of his "desperate" move amid the cancel culture he is facing.
One said, "DaBaby selling his tickets BOGO has got to be the saddest sh*t ever for a rapper. And it's crazy cause nobody else hurt his career more than he did. Talk about self sabotage, a lack of situational awareness, and ego."
Rapper DaBaby's Career in Jeopardy?
DaBaby's decision to sell BOGO tickets that way came after his New Orleans show got canceled due to low ticket sales.
New Orleans outlet, Nola, claimed that the "Ball If I Want To" rapper was scheduled to perform at the Smoothie King Center on Sep. 2. But the promoter allegedly pulled out because the tickets were not sold enough.
XXL Magazine said the concertgoers were "fewer than 500 for an arena with a concert capacity of 14,000 or more."
However, the CEO of DaBaby's booking agency clarified to the magazine that it was canceled not because of low ticket sales, but because of a breach of contract.

MAC Agency founder Andrew Lieber said the artist's team decided to back out because of the case but assured he would be back in New Orleans soon to meet his fans.
Meanwhile, the promoters, Euell "7th Ward Shorty" Sylvester and Greg Pulver, said it was caused by "business reasons" but did not clarify what those issues were.
DaBaby has been the subject of condemnation due to his homophobic comments. It all started at Rolling Loud Miami 2021's final day when he made homophobic and misogynistic comments.
