Aaron Carter's death certificate revealed more details about the singer before and after he was found lifeless inside his Los Angeles home.

A news outlet obtained Carter's death certificate which divulged the singer's status amid questions surrounding his manner and cause of death. The legal document revealed that the "I'm All About You" hitmaker's body has been cremated and that his sister Angel would hold his ashes.

The County of Los Angeles Department of Health said the cremation process happened on November 9.

Meanwhile, Page Six noted that his mother, Jane Carter, was the first person to know about his passing.

Although the death certificate revealed once-unknown details about the event, it states that Aaron Carter's cause of death is still deferred. This means that more tests should be done before determining what led to his passing.

For what it's worth, the cops and investigators are still looking into the case after discovering cans of compressed air in his bathroom and bedroom. They also retrieved prescription pills from the scene.

The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office announced it would share Aaron Carter's manner and cause of death once the toxicology tests have been completed.

On the other hand, it assumed that the singer's body had been in his bathtub for quite some time due to a noticeable smell of decomposition in the area. The water's color also changed already upon the responders' arrival.

Meanwhile, the tub's jets were still running when his housekeeper and the police found him.

Aaron Carter Struggled For Years

Before the release of his death certificate, the co-author of his unfinished memoir Andy Symonds revealed in the book that Carter informed him about his issues with taking Xanax. The singer reportedly struggled, as well, with huffing canned air, including Dust Off.

Carter started to be dependent on drugs at a young age while he strived hard to follow his family's footsteps in the industry, including his older brother, Nick Carter, who is a member of the Backstreet Boys.

In the same book, the late singer revealed he started smoking weed at the age of 11. When he was 15, he reportedly spent $30,000 to buy ecstasy. He also turned to heroin but quit after getting sick, then he got into Xanax afterward.

Aaron Carter left behind his son, Prince, who will turn one year old on Nov. 22. He shared him with his on-and-off fiancée, Melanie Martin.
