Adele's much-anticipated Las Vegas residency began last Friday, but there's already drama developing behind the scenes.
The "Rolling In The Deep" singer reportedly turned down a multi-million dollar stay at Caesars Palace after being dissatisfied with her accommodations.
According to the Daily Mail, as part of her residency agreement, she was granted a luxury stay at the Palazzo Suites at the Rio Casino, where her performance is being produced.
Her lavish suite even had a butler and was apparently set for Adele to spend time with her son Angelo and suspected spouse Rich Paul as her concerts continue into March.
It was also alleged that the 34-year-old turned down the suite offer since she preferred to stay at Caesars Palace's Augustus Tower.
The "Easy On Me" singer, however, allegedly rejected down the hotel's invitation and instead decided to camp at its competitor hotel, Wynn Las Vegas. Adele is staying at their Fairway Villa, which is located near Rio Casino.
Her suite allegedly costs $3,883 per night and has a 3,224-square-foot room. feet. It has two bedrooms, an 80-inch TV, a dining area with a bar, two marble bathrooms, twice-daily housekeeping, and a private drive.
A source revealed to the outlet, however, that Las Vegas is already used to "divas."
"I'm sure the feeling is that whatever helps her feel at ease is OK, but this is humiliating for Caesars."
Caesars Palace Is Doing Everything For Adele
Caesars also allegedly paid $472,000 to preserve Adele's voice for the three-month "Weekends with Adele" performance.
It's also been reported that organizers use a technology that creates a backstage "bubble" after being concerned that the hot and humid desert environment would harm her vocal cords.
Caesars also installed a "complex" system to ensure Adele gets the "best possible air" onstage.
"The technology works by combining dehumidifiers, purifying units, water molecule dispersal, and cooling fans in the rehearsal area and then channeling that air over the stage when she performs," another insider told the Daily Star.
The Sun claimed in January that Adele's Las Vegas gigs could make her up to $950,000 per night. This comes after she was forced to cancel performances scheduled to begin in January due to COVID concerns.
Currently, the Grammy award-winning singer has an estimatednet worth of $220 million. Her sources of income come from her record sales, concerts, TV shows and awards.
