Nicki Aycox, who portrayed the original Meg Masters on "Supernatural," passed away last week at the age of 47, according to a Facebook post by her sister-in-law. It was not known to many that her cancer has taken for the worse. She once revealed she was not feeling well, but thought it was COVID-19.
'Red Velvet Room' Singer Dead at 47
Aycox has been battling leukemia since 2021, although the true cause of death has not been determined. The post paid an emotional tribute to the singer actress.
She was described as beautiful, intelligent, fierce, extremely talented, and wonderful sister-in-law, who died away yesterday with her husband by her side, the actor's sister-in-law Susan Raab Ceklosky said on Facebook on November 17.
Nicki Aycox and Matt had a beautiful life in California together. Everyone who knew her adored her, as she was undeniably a fighter, the post further said. Aycox earned his first acting credit in 1996 for the television series "Weird Science."
She appeared in "The Twilight Zone," "The X-Files," "CSI," and "Jeepers Creepers 2" before getting the part of the demon Meg Masters on the CW's "Supernatural."
According to IMDB, she appeared in four episodes of the show in 2006 before returning for one more in 2008.
Aycox reported in March 2021 that she had been diagnosed with leukemia after several months of feeling "extremely sick" and believing she had COVID.
She stated on Instagram at the time that she wants everyone to know that she's doing amazingly well and fighting her way through chemo. Since then, the majority of her Instagram posts have concerned her health and treatment.

In January, after beginning another round of chemotherapy, a new transplant, and probable t-cell therapy, she said she hopefully to be free of the leukaemia nightmare by the holidays of 2022. She's free from leukaemia, at least, although this cost her life.
Creator of "Supernatural" Eric Kripke tweeted that he is "devastated" to learn about Aycox's passing. The actor who portrays Bobby Singer on the show, Jim Beaver, revealed that his first episode was with Aycox and she was pleasant to work with.
Even though she's more known as an actress, her discography cannot be discounted. In 2015, she made a brave leap into the world of music and she had garnered some great amount of fans.
Nicki Aycox's debut EP, "Red Velvet Room," marked its first birthday on August 28, 2016. The renowned film and television actor has had difficulty making the shift to musician. Nonetheless, courage and inspiration have been Nicki Aycox's calling card.
She will be missed.
