Taylor Swift's "The Eras" tour isn't due for the next couple of months but it's already facing several concerns from fans and even the government. Recently, a Swiftie claimed she waited for a long time and paid thousands of dollars for nothing.
A fan named Sydney Wallace spoke to Insider to share her story regarding the ticketing fiasco she experienced, saying she initially entered her credit card information before many fans attempted to buy passes for the highly-anticipated show.
When it's about time to check out, the fan claimed ticket-selling wesbite SeatGeek wouldn't let her complete the transaction.
Every time she tries to buy another ticket, she was rerouted to another link, but the prices went higher every time she attempts to purchase a new one.
After using her card several times, her bank flagged her account as they were suspicious for potential fraud.
Wallace's story is now viral on Twitter as she shared her sentimens online as well as her bank statements, writing, "Waited in line for @taylorswift13 tickets for 8 hours today. And @SeatGeek charged me 14+ times for tickets I was never able to purchase."
The post amassed almost 150k likes and thousands of retweets from other fans.
She later explained that her bank froze her accounts, which includes several credit cards, and she never even got a single ticket after spending a whopping $9,000.
In a follow-up tweet, Wallace said SeatGeek reached out and told her that it would take three to five business days to fix the problem. As of this writing, the fan didn't share any updates on social media regarding the issue.
According to the New York Post, the Swiftie's bank has removed the overdraft fees charged to her account.
Taylor Swift 'The Eras' Tour Ticket Fiasco
The recent news comes after Taylor Swift broke her silence about the ticketing issue of her upcoming concert.
In a statement, the "Paper Rings" hitmaker said it's difficult for her to trust "an outside entity" regarding relationships and loyalties.
"There are a multitude of reasons why people had such a hard time trying to get tickets and I'm trying to figure out how this situation can be improved moving forward," she added.
The pop star also noted that she won't be making excuses for anyone because her team asked Ticketmaster if they could handle a big demand from her fans and Swift was assured they could.
