After kissing some of his fans and his bandmate in a recent concert, Matty Healy continues to drop more bombshells as he recently announced a collaboration that many of his fans have been dreaming about.

Would you have believed that The 1975 and Taylor Swift had an unreleased collaboration on the recently-released "Midnights" album?

Well, Healy revealed that during the band's recent guesting at Kroq's DTS Sound Space.

In the interview, the The 1975 vocalist reminisced about his times working with Taylor Swift, a thing that just happened recently when the popstar was working on her "Midnights" album.

Turns out, Swift had an early preview of the band's latest project, "Being Funny in a Foreign Language." Asked if Swift had returned the favor, Healy shocked everyone with his answer. This is because Jack Antonoff, Swift's producer, was also the man behind The 1975's most recent album too.

"Yeah. We actually worked a bit on that. But then [that] version of it never came out," he confessed. The crowd, who seemingly would have wanted a collaboration between the two acts, erupted in a boo upon knowing it was shelved.

However, Healy quickly cleared out the air of suspicions.

"No, no, no - that's not how it works. It [didn't work out] for reasons that are not to be criticized. She's amazing," he told the crowd.

Rumors of a The 1975 and Taylor Swift collaboration were up in the air earlier this year when a faked and edited tracklist revealed that they were collaborating on a song called "In My Dreams."

However, Healy quickly dismissed the rumors, saying: "I would love that! But unfortunately FAKE NEWS." Among the other rumored songs at the time was a song called "Good in the Dark" with Lana Del Rey and "Halle" with Stevie Nicks.

But when the actual tracklist was revealed through Swift's "Midnights Mayhems With Me," a The 1975 song was nowhere to be found, including all of the songs on the fake tracklist released online. However, a Lana Del Rey collab came to fruition with "Snow on the Beach," but has only featured backing vocals of the songstress during the chorus.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift's "Midnights" remains mighty at the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart, holding the fort on its fourth week since it debuted on the coveted genre-blending charts.
