Aaron Carter's final resting place has been revealed.
Carter's family did not release further details after the release of his death certificate, which revealed that his body was cremated on November 9. Weeks after the process was completed, his mother shared what the family wants to do with his ashes.
Jane Carter exclusively told a news outlet that the family would soon gather to scatter his ashes in the waters of the singer's home state, Florida. His remains will reportedly be mixed with those of his sister, Leslie. Access Hollywood reported in 2012 that the then-25-year-old Leslie died in New York.
As of press time, Carter's twin sister, Angel Carter Conrad, is in possession of his remains.
Jane added that a small amount of Carter and Leslie's ashes would be kept and buried with her once she dies. The "I'm All About You" hitmaker's fiancée, Melanie Martin, will reportedly not be invited to the ash scattering ceremony.
At the end of the interview, the grieving mother expressed her heartbreak and said that she misses her son already. One of her last conversations with him include a text in which he asked her how the family was doing in Florida.
Aaron Carter's Tragic Death
Aaron Carter's cause of death remains unknown to the public weeks after he was found dead in his bathtub on November 5.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department received a 911 call made by his housekeeper soon after seeing him unresponsive in his bathtub. In the publicized recording, she could be heard yelling as she asked for help while referring to "in the tub."
Upon arrival, the authorities found a dead person inside the residence, which they later identified as the singer.
A few days later, cops retrieved cans of compressed air and prescription pills in his bathroom and bedroom. They added that Carter seemed to have passed away for quite some time because of the smell of decomposition and the bathtub water's change in color.
His fiancée, Melanie Martin, urged the public to give the bereaved family some privacy as they deal with the tragic days of their lives after Carter's death.
"Please respect the privacy of my family as we come to terms with the loss of someone we love greatly. We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated," she went on.
