Mark Feehily was forced to withdraw from forthcoming Westlife performances owing to illness. Fans are surely devastated -- but at least the whole tour is NOT cancelled.

The 42-year-old singer has already missed the band's performances in Newcastle on Friday (25.11.22) and Saturday (26.11.22). He is disappointed that he must miss additional concerts on the band's 'Wild Dreams' tour, but his doctor has ordered him to rest.

Mark said: "Firstly, I'd like to say a huge sincere thank you to everybody for sending their and get well soon messages - it means so much. I was really gutted to miss the weekend shows in Newcastle but I started to feel quite unwell on Friday and doctors have confirmed that it is a bout of pneumonia." Mark, whose teammates Shane Filan, 43, Nicky Byrne, 44, and Kian Egan, 42, sing the highest notes, vowed to return to the stage "as soon as" he is given the "all-clear."

He continued: "I have been informed that the quickest way to recovery is to rest and continue the antibiotics. I'm feeling a bit better every day. The nurses and motors are taking amazing care of me so it should all be over in no time. "This does, however, mean missing more shows which is dreadful but I'll be back on stage as soon as I get the all clear." Mark concluded the post: "

Until then, Nicky, Shane and Kian will continue to fly the Westlife flag high for all of us. Please scream even louder than usual for those three legends in my absence! Sending love to you all, I hope to see you back on the road very soon!"

Last week, bandmate Nicky had a horrific fall backstage at the Irish group's performance in Glasgow. He told his Instagram followers that he had a small accident on stage in Glasgow last night when he failed to see that the automated stairs had opened behind me. He remains thankful.

He said it was a crazy moment that could have been much worse; nonetheless, he is fully alright, if a bit battered and bruised! He added that the concert must continue and added the hashtag, #ReallyFlyingWithoutWings." On November 30, the 'What About Now' hitmakers will perform in Liverpool. The tour is now scheduled to conclude on December 15 and 16 with two nights in Belfast.

Westlife is in good hands with the remaining three members, despite the fact that their performance without Mark was rather emotional.

Shane Filan, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne launched their The Wild Dreams tour in Sheffield with Starlight and Uptown Girl. Shane immediately interrupted the act to inform the audience that Mark would not be attending. He said that they are one man short although they have confirmed Mark is OK.

They immediately began performing their subsequent songs, which included Fool Again, If I Let You Go, My Love, and Swear It Again. They requested that the lights be dimmed so that individuals might shine flashlights and chant they miss the missing member.
