Dolly Parton is one of the industry's most renowned artists due to her music and it sealed her legendary status for years. This is probably a reason why she was chosen to perform in the United Kingdom for the royal family decades ago.

More recently, the country star paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II by recalling her first time meeting her as well as revealing the one thing she was most scared of at the time.

According to Express UK, the "Jolene" songstress appeared on "The One Show" with hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp along with another guest, Gregory Porter.

Parton previously performed at the renowned Royal Variety Performance at the Albert Hall in 1977 and she revealed she was not informed that performers would get to meet the longest-reigning monarch face-to-face.

At first, the country singer was excited about meeting the royal, but she was also nervous as she's afraid to "make a mistake being a country girl and all."

However, her perspective changed by the time she met the monarch, saying, "she was so warm and wonderful and made me feel special and that was one of the highlights of my whole life," before revealing she still has a picture of herself with the Queen on her dresser.

Recalling how much of a great person Her Majesty was, Parton said she loved her grace and style like every other people because "she just shined to everybody."

"I think she was more than just the Queen and not just to say that but she was someone you felt like you knew," she added.

Dolly Parton New Album Coming Soon?

In other updates, Dolly Parton will be diving into the world of rock 'n' roll as she's planning to release an album soon.

Although specific details about her next project have been kept secret, the singer couldn't help but share a few hints for fans.

Speaking to "TODAY," the country icon and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee said her upcoming record is "some of the best work" she's ever done in her career. Since it's different for her, she wanted it to be good.

Initially, she never thought of being a "rock star" but it all changed when she found out she was nominated to be inducted into the Hall of Fame she first declined.
