On December 8, 2022, Ronnie Turner, Tina Turner's son, unfortunately passed away at the age of 62.
At that time, according to TMZ, a caller claimed that Ronnie was having respiratory difficulties and later stopped breathing. Paramedics were sent to his house in the San Fernando Valley as a result.
As witnesses administered CPR, Ronnie was declared dead at the site. At the time, his health was clear, although he had previously fought cancer, as is known.
A coroner has now verified that Tina Turner's son passed away after a struggle with colorectal cancer and blocked arteries.
According to the coroner's findings, Ronnie Turner had atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease at the time of his death, which causes blood flow to increase as a result of the buildup of cholesterol plaque in the artery walls, according to Page Six.
The coroner's findings also revealed that his brief struggle with colon cancer barely lasted three weeks, which provided more insight into his health.
But unlike the disease he previously overcame, this colon cancer apparently ravaged his body in just three weeks.
Ronnie Turner's wife, Afida Turner, posted a tribute on her Instagram page on Friday, expressing her disdain for cancer and stating that he suddenly fell ill.
The 45-year-old described her late husband as a "terrific musician" and a "bass player" with an "amazing soul" and "a heart of a giant."
Ronnie and Afida were wed in 2007 after Ronnie gained notoriety for playing bass guitar for multiple Tina Turner tours and co-starring with his famous mother in the 1993 biography "What's Love Got To Do With It."
Ronnie was a member of Manufactured Funk.
The most recent tragedy to affect the family is Ronnie Turner's passing.
Craig, his older brother, committed suicide at his Studio City home four years ago. Age-wise, he was 59.
Craig suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was declared dead at the scene.
Craig, born to Tina Turner and Raymond Hill, and Ronnie, born to Ike Turner, were her two biological sons. She raised Ike Jr. and Mike, two of Ike's children, as her own.
Tina, who presently resides in Switzerland with her husband, Erwin Bach, was, according to Ike Jr., described in an interview from 2018 as being alienated from him.
