Rapper Kid Ink was reportedly arrested for disturbing the peace on early Saturday morning in Las Vegas.
According to a report from TMZ, Kid's girlfriend got into a scuffle at a Mirage nightclub, and the police were called in. Once law enforcement arrived on the scene, Kid (born: Brian Todd Collins) became violent.
Both Collins and his girlfriend were booked — The woman for giving a false statement to officers (no further details there yet) and Collins for disturbing the peace.
The report also states that Collins was to be released Saturday afternoon without posting bail, although its currently unclear if that has occurred. He faces a Monday court date.
Saturday night, he posted this tweet:
He then informed fans tonight that he still planned to go onstage at the Uforia Festival.
Collins, a 28-year-old from Los Angeles, dropped his sophomore full-length album My Own Lane this January. The release hit No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and spawned the singles "Show Me" and "Main Chick."
On July 31, Kid Ink and Ty Dolla $ign remixed MAGIC!'s hit song "Rude" with the help of Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.
As Carolyn Meynes wrote, "Keeping the beachy vibes and chorus of the song fully intact, Barker adds a bit of a bass thumb to the single, giving it a more club-friendly feel.
"In addition to the pop and hip-hop elements, Ink and $ign offered up their own 'Rude' verses, turning the tables from a disapproving father to an out-of-control daughter."
