Def Leppard is one of the most iconic rock bands of all time and it's an honor for any artist to be cited and applauded by Joe Elliott for the music they released. More recently, the frontman praises Demi Lovato for her album this year.
In an interview with Classic Rock, the musician said 2022 as a good year for Def Leppard would be "an understatement" as there are other music acts that surpassed them when it comes to quality.
The 63-year-old vocalist then revealed his personal favorites for this year, saying he had a few ones like the Von Hertzen Brothers' "Red Alert In The Blue Forest," "The Zealot Gene" by Jethro Tull," and "As I Try Not To Fall Apart" by Eddie Vedder's Earthling.
However, Elliott added that there was one album in particular that stood out from those mentioned above, Demi Lovato's "Holy Fvck," saying it "rocks harder" than anything else he heard in 2022.
"The riffs are fantastic and her singing is off the f****** charts!" he added. (via Louder Sound)
Demi Lovato's Memorable 2022
Last summer, Demi Lovato released "Holy Fvck" and she previously revealed the meaning behind it, saying the title track simply flipped the phrase "holy f***."
She noted that it's more eye-catching than the rest of the songs in the album and it's also fitting to be the title of her record because there are tracks in it that have religious undertones.
"There's songs on the album that have this dichotomy of good and bad, and that song kind of represented both," she added. (via iHeart)
Regarding her label Island Records' thoughts on the title, the former Disney star said they were immediately on board with the idea and became supportive of anything she says.
"My label is so great and so supportive that, like, anything that I say goes... Like, they're really, really great to me," she said.
Lovato is currently on tour and it seems like it would also be her last as she previously took to her Instagram stories to share that she's sick and couldn't get out of bed.
"I can't do this anymore," she wrote, before adding, "This next tour will be my last. I love and thank you guys." (via Pop Crave)
