Beyonce is keeping everyone on their toes, anticipating the announcements regarding her tour in support of her most recent album "Renaissance," but instead, she is soft launching it through a mysterious weekend event.
The "Alien Superstar" singer partnered up with Amazon Music to present "Club Renaissance," a two-day event that will be held somewhere in Los Angeles.
Amazon Music announced the exciting yet mysterious surprise through social media: "12.17 & 12.18. This event is 21 plus. One ticket per person. Tickets are non-transferable. Location to be announced to confirmed guests on Saturday, 12/17."
According to Variety, the event is to celebrate the release of the album, which dropped six months ago, and while everything is kept to be a surprise, many noted the fine print on publications.
It is so small that one could easily miss it, but it reads: "invites you to experience 'Renaissance' in spatial audio."
Additionally, Dolby Atmos is included among the presenters of "Club Renaissance," which only means that the said event will indeed be some sort of listening party, with a twist.
Tickets for the two-day event were made free to fans, but were limited to one person per ticket, and heavily emphasized that attendees must be 21 and over.
It sold out within minutes, and there are no additional tickets available to the public as of this writing.
Welcome to Club Renaissance
According to Billboard, the "Club Renaissance" event in Los Angeles is but an addition to the other "Club Renaissance" parties Beyonce has launched since the release of her seventh studio album.
A few months ago, the singer launched another "Club Renaissance" event in Paris during Fashion Week in October, and reports noted that the event was an invite-only party.
Several stars like Naomi Campbell, Doja Cat, Tyler the Creator, Halsey, Baz Luhrmann, and more were in attendance at the highly sought-after event.
Other events were hosted all over the world but were kept mostly under wraps, like in New York.
That the New York "Club Renaissance" had a Studio 54 theme and saw the likes of Halle Bailey, Kendrick Lamar, Janelle Monae, Donal Glover, and more.
The secretive and mysterious nature of the event was criticized by fans, who noted the numerous problems they encountered accessing the site.
"Honestly not even respectful the way this was dropped with negative prep time. How were fans notified? What email list was utilized? Truly messy," a fan wrote despondently.
"OMG I was actually able to get a ticket for club renaissance on Saturday in LA but it won't verify my identity and just took me back to the first page where there is nowhere to click next. Beyonce please I just want to dance my life away to 'Pure Honey,'" another added.
Consequence Sound reported that Beyonce is gearing up for the tour in support of "Renaissance" in 2023, however, there is still no announcement regarding this.
