Richie Faulkner has been Judas Priest's guitarist since 2011, but before he became a member, K.K. Downing was originally the person behind the iconic instrument. After being replaced more than a decade ago, many have been wondering about the former guitarist's true feelings over the new musician; do they have an issue with each other?

Downing, along with other former and new members like Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, Ian Hill, and Scott Tavis, performed three songs for the event as a reunion performance.
Speaking to Metal Talk recently, the musician said he didn't intend to accept the invitation to the big event, but his decision changed later on.
Explaining why he was reluctant to attend the iconic event, Downing said he initially thought "it's a lot of fuss," and he questioned himself if is it worth it to travel to Los Angeles to perform and "break the ice" with current members.
But then a big realization hit him, saying Judas Priest was the same band he started over five decades ago and he wouldn't regret if he didn't go.
Does K.K. Downing Have an Issue With Richie Faulkner?
On the day of the event, all Judas Priest members were seated at the same table which gave him a chance to break the ice or "break bread." He also had the time to catch up with other members, but he found his conversation with Faulkner the most interesting.
Downing then revealed his true feelings for the guitarist, saying he was able to chat and jam with him. Many people thought their interaction would be awkward, but it wasn't.
"I've nothing but respect for him, and I know he's working on other projects outside Priest, and I wish him well," he added.
Last year, Rob Halford shared the reason why the guitarist decided to leave the band more than a decade ago, saying his former bandmate "spoke for himself" as he wanted to retire and do other things.
"I can only reinforce that we give him our best and give him great wishes and good luck with everything that he's doing now. And that's it for me," he added. (via Blabbermouth)
