Nile Rodgers revealed he "feels like a million bucks" while discussing his legendary music career. The 70-year-old musician is a Grammy-winning songwriter, producer, and artist who has collaborated with Diana Ross, David Bowie, Madonna, and Daft Punk, among others.
Recently, he worked with Beyoncé on her hit single "Cuff It."
In an interview with MailOnline,Nile discussed his most recent endeavor, the YouTube docuseries "Make It With Nile", and stated that he has no plans to "take a break" from his career. Nile, who has been sober for 28 years after nearly passing away from drug and alcohol abuse, has fought cancer twice in his lifetime.
In 2010, he was diagnosed with "aggressive" prostate cancer, but three years later he was given the all-clear after undergoing treatment. However, four years later he was diagnosed with and surgically treated for kidney cancer.
The celebrity is optimistic and has no plans to retreat from his successful music career. Regarding his health, Nile stated that occasionally, things go awry, such as when he tripped and fell through the stage the other day. It took a long time for the physical wounds to heal, but since they were on tour, they had no choice but to continue performing. It is extremely uncommon, but he is a two-time cancer survivor, so he said to bring it on.
Nile, when asked if he ever envisioned himself making music and performing at the age of 70, responded that he always envisioned himself as a musician, but he never imagined having hit songs.
He added that he does whatever he does whenever he does it. He finds that there is always something around the next corner, and he is always prepared.
He genuinely enjoys experimenting, and he enjoys discovering new music and people. He is simply unable to control his curiosity, he said.
When asked if he planned to take a career break, the celebrity responded that he has no idea what that is. The truth is that he genuinely enjoys it. He recently worked on two separate projects, and by the end of the day, he revealed he couldn't express his sense of accomplishment. His career just fills him with such gratitude and happiness.
