YFN Lucci's name has been interconnected with Young Thug and the whole YSL RICO Case ever since the sweeping indictment saw the arrest of 28 associates of the embattled record label.

Earlier this year, Young Thug was arrested has been charged with two counts, one with conspiracy to violate the state of Georgia's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organisations (RICO) Act and participating in criminal street gang activity.

At the time, WSBTV reported that two members of the YSL (Young Slime Life) sought permission from Thugger to murder YFN Lucci inside the Fulton County Jail.

The feud between the two rappers sparked after Young Thug boldly claimed that he is the "New Tupac." Lucci fought back and said that Pac would've never worn a dress, trolling him with a clown emoji after the clap back.

Fast forward to December 2022, a number of YSL associates have taken a plea deal in exchange for freedom. While some maintain innocence, some of the freed members will testify in court for Young Thug's trial in January 2023.

In a spliced clip circulating online earlier this week, YFN Lucci's name was mentioned, sparking speculations and rumors that he will appear as a witness against his nemesis.

Following the rumors, YFN Lucci's lawyer Drew Findling confirmed to TMZ that his client won't be appearing in court.

"Any party can announce for example that Abraham Lincoln is on their witness list, but those words alone are meaningless. So, to be 100% clear, Rayshawn Bennett (Lucci) will not be a witness in the YSL case," he told the outlet. "His focus, as it should be, is on his pending Fulton County case."

Netizens speculated that in exchange for lighter pressure for his own prosecution, YFN Lucci thought it would be best to testify against Young Thug who is pressed by prosecutors to be the main perpetrator of the RICO Case, among many other violent criminal activity in Georgia via his YSL Gang.

On the other hand, Lucci is awaiting trial on various charges, murder being one of them. Despite their beef, Lucci's lawyer assured them that he won't be appearing on the stand.

As of this writing, Young Thug has not been reported to have been offered a plea deal, unlike his other associates. His trial is scheduled to take place in January 2023.
