GloRilla revealed in a new Instagram post that the late rapper gave her stamp of approval before her untimely passing. She shared screenshots of the messages the Queen of Memphis sent to her, calling her a real legend.

"I normally don't post screenshots but the fact that she reached out to me before anybody else had a clue who I was she always supported me & the girls way back before we blew up A REAL LEGEND there will never be another Gangsta Boo," she captioned the post.

The messages, dated 2021, show Gangsta Boo supporting GloRilla after the rapper noticed the then-rising hip-hop star. One screenshot features the late rapper showering her with compliments, including calling her a "pioneer of Memphis female rap."

A clip of Gangsta Boo rapping while praising GloRilla also emerged online following her death.

Aside from Big Glo, other artists also paid tribute to her and called her death "untimely."

Gangsta Boo Dead

Echoing Soundz confirmed in a press release that Gangsta Boo died on Sunday in Memphis, Tennessee. It supported the reports by Fox 13 and WREG 3 Memphis, saying that the rapper passed away.

No cause of death has been revealed so far, but a news outlet claimed that she died of a potential drug-related incident.

It cited the statements from its sources, who reportedly said that Gangsta Boo attended a local concert with her brother on the night before her death. The siblings overdosed a few hours later, leading to their hospitalization.

However, only her brother survived.

Other insiders said the authorities discovered narcotics. A fentanyl-laced substance is believed to be what caused her death. While an autopsy has not been confirmed, the police started the probe into her death.

Gangsta Boo's friend, Delmar Lawrence, told WREG Memphis that the rapper was depressed before her passing. She reportedly suffered after losing her father.

"She loved what she wanted to do, she had so many plans, so many dreams about what she wanted to do for 2023," he said. "I mean she told me about 'em 3 days ago."

On the other hand, her family dismissed the claims that a foul play was involved in her death.
