RIP Gangsta Boo. The first lady of Southern rap, a pioneer w/ mesmerizing get money bounce, and a ubiquitous influence since she kicked Satanic verses at 15 on "Mystic Stylez." Boo defined Memphis rap as much as anyone in Three 6, and never spit a bad verse.

Gangsta Boo Dead
Echoing Soundz confirmed in a press release that Gangsta Boo died on Sunday in Memphis, Tennessee. It supported the reports by Fox 13 and WREG 3 Memphis, saying that the rapper passed away.
No cause of death has been revealed so far, but a news outlet claimed that she died of a potential drug-related incident.
It cited the statements from its sources, who reportedly said that Gangsta Boo attended a local concert with her brother on the night before her death. The siblings overdosed a few hours later, leading to their hospitalization.
However, only her brother survived.
Other insiders said the authorities discovered narcotics. A fentanyl-laced substance is believed to be what caused her death. While an autopsy has not been confirmed, the police started the probe into her death.
Gangsta Boo's friend, Delmar Lawrence, told WREG Memphis that the rapper was depressed before her passing. She reportedly suffered after losing her father.
"She loved what she wanted to do, she had so many plans, so many dreams about what she wanted to do for 2023," he said. "I mean she told me about 'em 3 days ago."
On the other hand, her family dismissed the claims that a foul play was involved in her death.
