Lil Tjay came back stronger and displayed his scars following his near-fatal experience during a shooting incident in June.
Lil Tjay surprised his fans during his New Jersey show when he took off his shirt to show the seven gunshot scars on his chest, ribs, and torso. The rapper also shared pictures of him taken during his appearance at The Wellmont Theater in Montclair on Instagram, writing, "BACK IN JERSEY."
The rapper sustained multiple gunshot wounds after the suspect, Mohamed Konate, attempted to rob him and his friend. The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office confirmed that Lil Tjay and one of his friends were shot at a close range.
The "Beat the Odds" hitmaker was struck in the thoracic cavity, and the bullets hit his chest and ribs.
He was hospitalized after the shooting. Due to a lack of updates, several news outlets sparked concerns when they reported about Lil Tjay's alleged brain death. There were also false reports about the rapper being paralyzed because of the injuries.
Meanwhile, some buzzes also claimed he died in the hospital.
His uncle, CEO of 920 Agency Group Quinn Smith, dismissed the claims in a message he sent to an internet user. He revealed that the rapper was "pulling through" and would be okay after the event.
"Man, listen. All these rumors and bullsh*t going on about my nephew unless you hear it from someone in the family or very close to him, don't believe sh*t. All you blogs looking for attention your about to get some attention you don't want!!!!" Smith wrote.

Before his recent performance, Lil Tjay already had his first show after the shooting incident. On Sep. 23, he sang a set at Rolling Loud New York and took his time to express how blessed he is to survive the incident.
"Hey yo, look, I'm feeling good today. I'm feeling blessed. Thanks to everybody that popped out here today. We going up," he said.
Where Is Lil Tjay's Suspect?
The latest news about Konate was published in June following his arrest.
People confirmed that New Jersey authorities arrested the suspect in connection to the shooting of Lil Tjay. The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office also published a press release revealing that Konate had been charged with weapon charges, armed robbery, and attempted murder.
Konate and his attorney requested an initial release for medical treatments as he suffered a shattered kneecap and conjunctivitis. However, a judge denied the request in July during his detention hearing.
