Following a decades-old allegation of sexual assault against the musician, Steven Tyler's name has been removed from an upcoming gala at which he was to be honored.
The Las Vegas Review Journal reported that links to the original announcement of Aerosmith's celebrity honoree status for the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo "Power of Love Gala" have been removed.
DailyMail.com has contacted Tyler's managers and gala organizers for comment. Julia Holcomb filed a lawsuit against Tyler last month, alleging that he sexually abused her, plied her with drugs and alcohol, and forced her to have an abortion beginning when she was 16 and he was 25.
The Review Journal observes that Tyler's name is missing from the Keep Memory Alive website's link to the February 18 gala, which will be held at the MGM Grand Garden. In September, it was announced that he would be the most prominent celebrity honoree at the event, alongside the philanthropist John Paul DeJoria, co-founder of the hair-care company John Paul Mitchell Systems.

DeJoria's name remains on promotional materials, but the reference to Tyler has been removed. Despite Tyler's absence from promotional materials, gala organizers have not announced that he is no longer participating in the event.
The "Power of Love" Gala raises funds to combat Alzheimer's disease and to aid Alzheimer's patients and their families. Aerosmith recently canceled the final six shows of its Deuces Are Wild residency at Dolby Live in Las Vegas due to Steven Tyler's ill health, the nature of which has not been disclosed.
In recent days, the frontman has been embroiled in controversy after a woman named Julia Holcomb filed a lawsuit against him in Los Angeles during the final days of a California law that temporarily suspends the statute of limitations for sexual assault claims during a now-closed "look-back" window.
The suit, which was first reported by Rolling Stone, does not identify Tyler by name, instead referring to him as "Defendant Doe," but it quotes directly from his 2011 memoir describing the relationship. Holcomb has previously discussed her alleged relationship with the rock star in public. In the lawsuit, she accuses the music legend of sexual assault, sexual battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, alleging that he plied her with drugs and compelled her to have an abortion after gaining guardianship from her mother.
A representative for Tyler did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com's request for comment. Tyler's memoir fondly described his roughly three-year sexual relationship with a teenage girl in the 1970s, without naming Holcomb.
