It appears that the ghostwriting allegations surrounding Quentin Miller's contribution to Nas' recent album "King's Disease 3" has taken a toll on his personal career as he noted that the legendary rapper has distanced himself from him; what happened?
According to Hot New Hip-Hop, many fans noted that the musician was credited on Nas' latest record, but since Miller has a reputation in the industry, some critics alleged that the rap star was not the one who wrote all of his lyrics from the project.
More recently, Quentin Miller spoke about the issue again with Vlad TV, saying the narrative surrounding the drama is harming his career, which also eventually led to Nas and other musicians distancing themselves from him.
Speaking about the hip-hop legend, the rapper said he has nothing but respect for Nas and it was an honor to collaborate with him. He claimed that the artist also praised him for his skills, but the aftermath of the allegations has taken a toll on their friendship.
"You get the opportunity to work with somebody and then, people find out. Then, they tear him down 'cause he worked with you. Rather than, 'Look at you... damn, you must be dope,'" he said.
Quentin Miller Clarifies Nas Issue
Miller previously clarified that he was indeed involved in the record, but he was only "bouncing ideas" in the recording studio after Hit-Boy invited him to tag along.
"I just bounced some ideas, a couple ideas win. That's it, that's all that happened with the Nas s***," he said.
He also shared a video of himself on his official Instagram account, saying the whole issue blew up on social media which led him to speak out.
"Off the strength, I want to shout out to Hit-Boy for the opportunity that he gave me when he invited me to the studio and allowed me to work with Nas," he said.
Miller also took the opportunity to discuss other ghostwriting allegations surrounding other artists like Jeremih, G-Eazy, and Ty Dolla $ign.
Aside from the Nas drama, one of the most notable issues he faced was with Drake after Meek Mill exposed the rapper of having Miller as an uncredited writer.
Like the recent drama, the rapper said the issue followed him ever since and whenever his name gets involved in a song, there's another scandal in the making.
