Kate Hudson is the epitome of "better late than never," when she suddenly announced that she plans to pursue a music career a year ago, and now her dreams are just about to be realized.
Variety reported that the "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days" star just signed with Sandbox Entertainment Group to exclusively manage her music career.
"Music has always been my touchstone," Hudson shared. To finally feel ready to share mine is deeply personal to me, almost like a musical memoir."
Much like everyone else, the pandemic left a bigger mark on her life than she had anticipated, and decided to finally pursue a career in music, which she had always wanted to do.
"Writing this album over the past year and a half has been the most gratifying and immersive experience and I couldn't be more excited to partner with Jason to bring it into the world. I can't wait to hit the ground running with him on this and other creative ventures."
The 43-year-old, although well-established in Hollywood, thanks to her numerous awards and accolades, is a newbie in the music scene.
"Kate Hudson is a superstar of our generation," said Jason Owen, the founder and CEO of Sandbox Entertainment Group. "Much like other icons in film and stage - from Judy Garland to Lady Gaga - Kate is a multifaceted entertainer who clearly has a deep connection to music.
"I could not be more honored and excited to help bring her brilliant music to the world and to work with such an incredible talent but mostly a such wonderful person. Big things are coming."

Among the Stars
It appears that Hudson made the right decision by signing under Sandbox Entertainment Group, because they also happen to be the same company who manage some of the biggest country stars of this generation.
According to the reports, Hudson is now among Sandbox Entertainment Group's stars alongside Kacey Musgraves, Faith Hill, Dan + Shay, and Kelsea Ballerini.
Since it's too early to guess what genre or music direction the A-list actress will be headed, one can only guess that it might be country music, since all her contemporaries are well-known for country music, but there isn't any definitive word on that yet.
Hudson established her music career comes several years after her initially pondering on the possibility after she became a mother, she revealed in an interview with Today.
"I thought to myself, if I'm too afraid to do that, then what does that say to my kids? Because I've been very afraid to put that out into the world because it's the most personal thing for me," she explained.
"I always said that if I made a record, I would have something to say. I would have to feel like I was really committed to it. I did this last year and I've been writing and it's been great. It's been really fun for me."
