It looks like a Beyonce and Britney Spears collaboration was already bound to happen!
In a recent exclusive report from Page Six, it was revealed by multiple sources that the two music icons were set to collaborate on an upcoming music video soon.
However, because of undisclosed reasons, it appears that the would-be iconic collaboration or feature did not come to fruition.
Supposedly, Spears, who had since been released from her infamous conservatorship, was appearing in a music video that Beyonce has recently shot.
As of this writing, Spears and Beyonce's team have not yet responded to the rumors.
But should it be true, it would be a huge miss for a musical moment to see the two iconic artists together in a video.
Fans on Twitter, who has recently heard the news were sad about the missed opportunity. Many online theorized that Spears would have most likely been invited on Bey's comeback single, "Break My Soul."

Meanwhile, fans of both singers have expressed their sadness online.
"i can't believe we missed britney in the renaissance visuals i knew she would've given us a good twirl," a fan posted.
"Literally Brit could have brought Bey back into the scene and Vice Versa cause they like to do a lot of hiding," another shared.
"Would have been ICONIC! The two biggest female superstars from the 2000's teaming up once again," another recalled.
However, some are still hopeful that the reason why the collaboration did not push through was because of another thing:
"Kinda hope it fell through cause Britney suggested to do a whole new collaboration, new song, new video instead of just appearing in one of her tracks. This needs to happen," a fan expressed.
Beyonce and Britney have already worked before. In the iconic 2002 Pepsi ad, the two music icons, including P!nk, shocked everyone with their Gladiator-esque "We Will Rock You" cover for the soda giant.
Should the collaboration come through, it would have permanently sealed Britney's official comeback to the music industry since she ended her conservatorship in 2021. Since then, she has collaborated with Elton John on "Hold Me Closer," debuting at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 Charts - marking her first Top 10 single in a decade.
Meanwhile, as for Beyonce, no music videos were released yet for her Grammy-nominated album, "Renaissance."
