Tyga is known to cruise around in high-end luxury vehicles that must cost thousands of dollars, but apparently, he has a tendency of skipping out on its payments.
Recent reports say that the "Sunshine" rapper is headed back to court because he has been skipping out on court-ordered payments for a Lamborghini and Bentley.
The original lawsuit, which began back in 2016, entailed that Tyga was to pay $390,000 for the 2013 Lamborghini Aventador and $91,000 for the 2014 Bentley Mulsanne.
He was supposed to pay a total of $481,000, but because he needed to pay for both of the cars, interest brought his debt to $1.3 million, Radar reported.
This isn't the first time the rapper had trouble paying for luxury vehicles. He was sued back in 2019 for not paying for a Ferrari and Rolls Royce that he had purchased.
According to reports, Midway Rent a Car, Inc, the car company that sold the high-end vehicles to Tyga, claimed that he owed it $441,000 for the Ferrari and $84,000 for the Rolls Royce.
While he agreed to settle and pay for the vehicles, the Ferrari and Rolls Royce were inevitably repossessed.
Aside from having run-ins with payments for vehicles, he's also had trouble paying for other things like furniture and rent.
He was sued by his former landlord for trashing the rented residence and neglecting to pay rent for over a year.
Is He Broke?
According to Celebrity Net Worth, the "Taste" rapper has a net worth of $7 million, but despite having that much, he is no stranger to lawsuits over missed payments and even tax issues.
Tyga, born Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson, hails from Compton, California, and his roots are largely debated, whether he came from a poor or a well-to-do background.
He rose to prominence after the release of his debut mixtape in 2007, and was offered a record deal.
Despite what people say about his background and upbringing, it seems that Tyga built his own career from the ground up, and dropped several hits like "Deuces" and "Do My Dance."
Tyga has, for the most part, stepped away from the music scene. Although he never really announced retirement, he has not released any new material since the release of his seventh studio album "Legendary" in 2019.
